An excerpt from my book, The Journey Scroll:

Caylin thought about letting go of the string of his bow while he aimed it at Kab.
“Una…”Caylin said the man’s name. “I almost killed him today, Argus ordered me to shoot him, so I drew an arrow and fired, I don’t know whether I was trying to hit him or not.”
Una looked up at Caylin, “Well… good thing you didn’t.”
The two said nothing for a bit, then Una spoke again, “Does he have any friends?”
“Yes, two of them,” Caylin answered.
“Keep them safe as well,” Una said.
Caylin thought of Nesh, “I’ll try,” Caylin choked out.
“That’s all I ask brother, I’m leaving this night toward the mainland. Hopefully we will put a stop to this. Good luck Caylin, until next time. I will be back in a few weeks.”
The two firmly shook each others hands and then Una started through the jungle, but he stopped and looked back, “Oh, Caylin.”
“Yes.”
Una looked very solemn, “If you find Kab, don’t let him on the return ships home, they’ll kill him, they are going to kill them all. They don’t intend to let any of them back to the main land.”
The two locked eyes for a moment and then Caylin nodded, and Una was gone.
